Paper applique, spray paint, marker, tissue papier mache, and acrylic on wood. 2'x4'

Like the french film, it's pretty, but not really about anything.

This is nearly but not quite finished. I want to add more depth at the bottom, poor Fuji-san looks very bare! In the meanwhile, I wanted to upload an unbesmirched version, just in case I screw up in the subsequent adding.

Oh, heh. It means "Hiroshima My Love," and it's half-based on the (same) title of an old B&W french movie that I've been forced to watch on several occasions. The movie has some massive, over-my-head meaning that for me boils down to "what we once used to be is dead and gone."

I thought that was what it ment but I wasn't sure. I know some french becuase it's used alot in cooking. Can't wait to see the finished product.

This is so Asian and delicate I had to add.
It just seems this is beyond words, no matter
how many 'good' adjectives I use. I love it,
the forms and colours, and the intimacy with
how you've done your strokes. I like your work a lot.
