Paper applique, spray paint, marker, tissue papier mache, and acrylic on wood. 2'x4'
Like the french film, it's pretty, but not really about anything. This is nearly but not quite finished. I want to add more depth at the bottom, poor Fuji-san looks very bare! In the meanwhile, I wanted to upload an unbesmirched version, just in case I screw up in the subsequent adding. Daily DeviationGiven 2004-12-14Hiroshima Mon Amour .9 by ~chinup displays an excellent use of variety in stroke and line. It's delicate, but also reveals active painting. Have a look at this deviant's entire gallery: it's impressive. (Featured by `alchemism) |

It just seems this is beyond words, no matter
how many 'good' adjectives I use. I love it,
the forms and colours, and the intimacy with
how you've done your strokes. I like your work a lot.
